10 Twitter Accounts Every Travel Entrepreneur Should Follow

You’re in the travel industry. You probably use social media to share content and get followers. That’s one way to use social media, but another benefit is that you can follow some of the best people out there who are providing great information. They’re sharing information you can use to improve your travel business.

I took some time to look around and find what I think are 10 great Twitter accounts. These are people that share great information and that do it regularly. I feel that if you follow these folks right now you’ll get some valuable and actionable information.

Let’s get into it.

1. Chris McGinnis

Chris posts all the time, which is a plus. He hosts the #TravelSkills hashtag chat, which looks to have some great information. He’ll share interesting articles, but what is also great is he’ll share little tidbits he finds about the industry. He’s geared more toward the traveler, but you can pick up on some good information and trends in the travel industry.

2. Jason Clampet

Jason is the co-founder of Skift. He shares and re-shares content from that site, which is good to follow whether you follow Jason or not. And he also shares a little insight into the industry that would appeal to other travel professionals. His opinion can give you insight into how travelers might view your brand.

3. Paul Brady

Paul is a news editor for Condé Nast Traveler. He seems to post multiple times per day, which is good if you really want a lot of good insight into the travel industry. He shares articles, but also shares his own photos and tidbits. He will help you stay up-to-date on what’s happening in all things travel.

4. Barbara Delollis

Barbara posts all kinds of interesting things. She posts about what she’s doing, but also shares interesting news about the industry like this update about LAX. That’s the kind of information that can lead to opportunities and insight for travel professionals.

5. Dan Peltier

Dan works for Skift, but he also has his own blog. Check those out and be sure to follow him for updates. He seems to be in-the-know when it comes to the workings of the travel industry. Most of the items he shares are from Skift, but he also shares other interesting thoughts and links.

6. Michelle Grant

She posts just about every day and when she does she usually has a few things to share each day. She seems to be right there with all the latest for travel professionals. I would say she is a good follow if you’re looking for help with new technology that can help your travel business.

He’s the CEO of MMGY Global and provides all kinds of research and information about the travel industry. He also provides his unique thoughts on different trends and issues in the industry, which should prove helpful.

This account posts every few days. Some of the tweets are for travelers. Some are promoting Google, but you’ll also find some good stats and information. That’s the reason to follow this account.

Final Thought

Hopefully some of these accounts are new to you. I think they’ll provide some things that can help your travel business. I found myself getting caught up in a few things they were sharing as I did research for this post so I know you can find even more.
